Snapdragon 875 impresses and could make the A14 of the iPhone 12 obsolete
A good performance test of the Snapdragon 875 has appeared on the net. A chip will be present in the high-end Android by 2021, starting with the Galaxy S21.
There is a technology race in the world of processors that is not usually because of the consumer public in chips that will be inside the following and brand-new phones that will appear on the market. And Qualcomm has a lot to say about it.
The new Qualcomm processor, the Snapdragon 875, is expected to be presented during the Snapdragon Tech Summit 2020 on December 1. With official details, we will already know what this processor could offer that the leading Android mobile terminals will carry from 2021.
The new Snapdragon 875 will have to do both with the A14 Bionic present in the iPhone 12. And also with Samsung’s Exynos 2100, and at least concerning the Apple processor. It will offer more performance if we pay attention to the latest test of AnTuTu that has appeared on the net. A Twitter user has shared alleged AnTuTu results achieved by a high-end phone to confirm that it would carry the Snapdragon 875 with impressive results: 847,868 points.
For comparison purposes, the iPhone 12 achieved 564,899 points in AnTuTu for the standard model. And 572,133 points for the Pro model. This would be quite far in performance compared to this supposed Snapdragon 875. In any case, you have to see Samsung’s movement about it with the Exynos 2100 because it looks like it will have even more promising results.
There will also seem to be another variant of the Snapdragon 875 called only the Snapdragon 875G. But it is unknown if it will also be announced in December or will be left for a little later.
The first high-end Android phone that will carry the new Snapdragon 875 will be the Samsung Galaxy S21. That would have advanced its launch to January to reach other terminals later. One of them is Xiaomi, a company that would have some temporary exclusivity for the Chinese territory.
