Starting next week, Google Meet will roll out two new highly-requested Zoom functions: Polls and Q&A.

To this day, many companies continue to bet on teleworking. These companies aim to reduce their employees’ travel as much as possible, thus slowing down the coronavirus spread.

Against this background, the tools that allow group video calls continue to be very necessary. Google wants to continue attracting users to its platform, and for this reason, it announced a few days ago that unlimited calls from Google Meet would be extended until March 2021.

Since last March, video calling applications are experiencing a golden age. Zoom is one of the most prominent; its growth in these months has been dizzying, and it has become the market reference.

Now, in addition to extending the validity period of free unlimited calls for all users, Google is preparing more news that will arrive at Meet starting next week. The Mountain View company has decided to implement two Zoom functions highly demanded by users on its video calling platform: surveys and questions and answers.

With the new Google Meet polls feature, moderators will have the ability to set up multiple questions, visible only to themselves. And launch the poll when they see fit. The participants will then answer the questions. And the moderator can share the results with the group in a bar graph.

The question and answer function of Google Meet is another of the most demanded features by users. It allows the hosts to activate the sending of questions so that the participants can formulate their doubts in a structured way. So that the moderators can solve them in a structured way when they see fit.

The new functions will arrive from next October 8. However, the release will be gradual. So you may not be able to see them for a few days or weeks.
