Samsung would be devising a custom Exynos processor exclusive to Google that would embed within the future Pixel phones and that would have a higher performance compared to the rest of the processors for Android devices on the market.
Google has already entered the mobile phone market, taking out its Pixel phones with Exynos processor year after year. However, despite having exquisite software and a cutting-edge photographic factor, it is still below overall power compared to other major players like the Galaxy or the iPhone.
To try to have more importance within the market niche of high-end mobile phones. Google would have commissioned Samsung to manufacture a custom Exynos processor used exclusively in Pixel phones to get more out of them instead of betting on a more generalized Snapdragon processor that other actors use.
The processor that Samsung would manufacture for Google would opt for a 5nm manufacturing process. This would be an impressive technological and efficiency leap compared to current processors, usually based on a 7nm process. This hypothetical processor would bet on eight cores that would divide into 2 Cortex A78, 2 Cortex A76, and 4 Cortex A55. All of the low consumption and protected by a Mali MP20 GPU graphics processor.
Another feature that would make this Exynos processor unique is that it would integrate its own Pixel Visual Core instead of Samsung’s ISP chip. Google would also introduce its NPU, ready for artificial intelligence issues.
This way, the efficiency and processing power of this type of processor manufactured by Samsung would combine. But with certain particular elements of Google, such as AI, to adapt them perfectly to their devices. If this exciting movement is natural, Google could boast of having its exclusive processors for its Pixels of the future, which would not only help them. Differentiate themselves from the other commercial offerings, but make the most of their technology. Perhaps in line with what Apple usually does with its processors and iPhones.
New Google Assistant for Pixel 4
The new Google Assistant for Pixel 4 will have a new form of invocation. That has not been used until now, and that you should know.
As announced by 9to5google, Google Pixel 4 will release in the coming days. We will have a new version of Google assistant and an unprecedented way to invoke it. Today we can call Google assistant through its application. Or with voice commands, pressing a dedicated button. Even with a first gesture, thanks to the latest operating system. But the possibility of calling it by merely lifting our device has not been seen so far.
So apparently, we will have a new way to invoke the Google Assistant in the new Pixel 4. And it would be done simply by lifting the device. In this way, if we grab the Pixel 4 and ask it any questions. It will be activated without having to take any action.
This way, it will not be necessary to say any voice command or press any of the buttons. Since merely speaking to you will be active. It should note that only this would be possible during the first seconds since we grabbed the phone. Since after that time, it can no longer be invoked in this way unless we leave it on a surface and catch it again.
It may have particular concerns regarding user privacy that you may inadvertently name a word. As soon as you grab the device, you have no intention of activating Google Assistant. We assume it will be a feature that can change in the Pixel 4 settings. In addition to initially recognizing the issues that would be run on the device itself. And never in the Google cloud.
It is an exciting addition to all the technical characteristics that have been leaking in recent days. This new assistant will premiere on Pixel 4, then go to the rest of the Google family of phones. And quite possibly also to any other Android phone.
