Apple announced a special event that will presumably introduce the new iPhone 12, Apple Watch Series 6, and other products for the remainder of 2020.
It has been made to wait, but we already have an official date: Apple has just announced the celebration of an Apple Event, where it will present its new products for the next few months. This Apple Event will take place exclusively in a week, next September 15, at 7:00 p.m. Spanish time.
The brief statement published on its website (so brief that it is only a logo with the date) does not give clues about the announced products. But for the dates and the rumors, everything points to the stars being the new iPhone 12 with 5G connection. Still, some insiders claim that it will not present the iPhone 12. That would be at another event in October. Next week it could introduce new iPads.
Everybody agrees that it will announce the new Apple Watch Series 6, which many sources claimed would be presented today. And other products, such as headphones or new home devices.
Traditionally, Apple tends to introduce its new iPhones in late August or early September. The logical thing would be for the iPhone 12 with a 5G connection to be announced on September 15. Despite this, its release will be delayed a few weeks, as confirmed by Apple itself. They would also do it in a staggered way; they will not be put on sale simultaneously.
Among the novelties that are expected for this year, in addition to the 5G version. We could see the first iPhone with a 120 Hz screen and a LIDAR sensor.
The iPhone 12 Pro Max could record 4K videos at 120 FPS, and 4K slow motion at 240 FPS. In everything related to video, significant improvements are expected, including recording in night mode and a substantial reduction in noise.
All these developments, especially the 5G modem, will raise the cost of manufacturing the iPhone. Apparently, Apple does not want to raise prices more, so it could keep them at the expense of cutting things. The iPhone 12s are rumored to have lower battery quality. And will come without headphones or charging cable in the box.
As for the Apple Watch Series 6, new health-related features have been rumored. Such as blood oxygen level and sleep tracking, panic attack detection, Touch ID, and other new features.
It also seems that we will have a new iPad. But we will have to wait until September 15 to confirm everything.
